Auditions

Open auditions will take place at St Luke's Church Hall, Burton Stone Lane on:

Anybody wishing to audition is welcome to simply turn up, but if you would like to book a particular slot please contact Sally Mitcham at . If you cannot make any of these dates please contact the director Cecily Boys on either 0794 1234 855 or cecilyboys@tiscali.co.uk to arrange another time.

Please prepare a piece from any Shakespeare play (not necessarily from The Merchant of Venice) which may be read or learnt. You may also be asked to read specific excerpts from the play.

Rehearsals will start on Sunday 7th September and follow a pattern of Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons until the performances in November from the 12th to the 22nd. Please bring details of any dates on which you are unable to attend rehearsal to the auditions as the fairly short and intensive rehearsal period requires a dedicated and committed cast. Where necessary extra reheasals may be called in consultation with the actors involved.

Anyone interested in taking part in the production team and applying for positions backstage will be welcomed at auditions and can book a time slot to discuss their possible role and availability.
